These are the exact same blanks that my baits are made from. There are tons of crankbait blanks on the market and you can certainly find cheaper ones out there. Many of them have manufacturing defects. Others don't run well at all, especially at higher trolling speeds and need constant tuning. I learned this first-hand, as my early baits had this issue. See picture below of the new blanks on the right vs the older blanks on the left. However, after months of "trial and error", I finally found a supplier that I am happy with. I still occasionally find minor flaws in the blanks, but most are cosmetic in nature. I inspect each one before I sell it, but it can be very difficult to see the flaws until paint is applied.
