You get a nice soft tip in the top 12 inches for sensitivity but it quickly stiffens up into a powerful backbone for pulling in big fish. The professional Sailfish and Kingfish tournament guys all love this rod. It is the best live bait rod we offer and it is also extremely popular for dragging small Ballyhoo for White Marlin. These rods are extremely durable and simply do not break. Match this one up with an Avet LX reel or a Trinidad 30 sized reel with 20-30# line and have a blast!
